Good news, everything squared away

well,

you all know the story of how we kinda broke away from GMTV, but we just merged back! I find it funny that it just happened, but it did. heres how (from my perspective)
so, I was busy arguing with Robin about the site name GMCast.com, with Jonos help, but unfortunatly, we lost, so we were going to change to a .co.uk domain but then he could force the site to only permit europein visitors, cause it was his trademark. argh. so we were going to switch to gamemakercast.com, and that was OK with him but then he got a little offtopic, and said he wished we could join up, and said that Dan wasn’t really that bad if you knew him, and said he would have us join, but all videos have to be approved by Danny, as a part of their contract. and then we ended the chat.

THEN us gmcast founder were having another chat about the name, and what to do, and we hit upon an excellent plan, we would invite Danny into the chat room and flame him!!! ::lmao:: but just when I unblocked him, he told me that “hi, I have decided not to be mean to you any more” so I decided not to flame him, but invited him in anyways. so we talked, and we are now Merging with GMTV, which is somthing I never dreamed possible (lol). so we worked out our differnces, and appoligised for all the warfare, and he is considering makeing me… ummm well, I will have to ask him if I can say it, cause he might want to keep it a surprise. and there are spots for all of us, and we will still probably interview DPoole, but in episode 6. (we won’t be in ep. 5 as it is allready filmed, and they are adding in all the effects now)

note: we now consider eachother friends now, so there are no more hard feelings.

another note:
we (ex. gmcast) also had another service, called “Gapscape” and it is sort of like runescape, but much more inexpesive and more fun, and we are considering Merging it with GMKing also, so look out for that

Damn, Trade Mark Issues

We can no-longer call our selves GMcast.com,  because we are trademark infringing,

We are gonna change to either:

gamemakercast.com

gamemakercast.co.uk

or

gmakercast.com

gmakercast.co.uk

We will also have to change the blog domain to.

My Story, Site, Background (aka. intro)

Hello, I am Caniac

I am also:

Owner and founder of GM-Cast, Co Founder of Gapto.co.uk, which is kind enough to host my site, www.gm-cast.com , I am owner of this blog, I am a member of the GMC.

 

here is the story of GM-Cast,

a few months ago, I wached GMTV’s Episode no. 4. I was very inspired, and at the end they even said I could apply to staff. so, I worked hard by submitting News Tips to the popular GMNews ( gmnews.scorptek.net ) and won the end-of-month prize. I choose to get a green screen (I donated the Previous months 2-nd place prize to make up for any difference). while I waited for it to arrive, I filmed my “audition”, I wanted to add a section on Extending Game Maker, where I would talk about Dlls, .gex’s etc, and showcase and review them. But I was rudely told that there was PLENTY of content allready by the owner of GMTV, and that he didn’t want my show. that got me very annoyed, but I sucked it up, and kept peaceful, for the time being. I asked if I was a member or not, and he kept putting me off. FINALLY after 3 weeks of putting me off, I asked for the answer THEN and there, and (my big mistake) said that if he said No, I would form my own show. I was not ACTUALLY serious, I was just trying to pry the answer out of him. but immedietly, he got all fired up, flamming and calling me every insulting name he could think up. and said that I was “threataning GMTV”. he hasn’t stopped botherng me, he continually taunted me, untill I blocked him. he asked me stuff like, “so hows your script coming?”, and “did you film your intro yet?”

Fortunatly, I was also talking to another one of my friends at the same time, and Jokingly mentioned the idea of another GM-Podcast, he took it as VERY serious, and was bugging me to decide if I would make it or not, and that is why I asked for the answer from the GMTV owner. so, when I was rudely shown the door from GMTV, (and they were shown the block button) I talked to him, and he is more than happy to do this show. I allready have a team of about 6 members. (me, myself, I (just kidding))

 

It took us a while, but we decided on GM-Cast as our name, and we hope that we will be successful. as you all probably know, GMTV, Markup an da few other sites paired up, and I hoped to do the same with GM-Tech, but while I talked to the owner, he wanted me to get professional artists to come make a better logo, annimations, etc, and script writers, music composers, ETC. he reccomended that I hold a competition on the popular digital point forums. forums.digitalpoint.com . so, to pay for all this, I decided to offer my services as a html developer on the forums, but as I could not post in the buy-sell-trade forum, I posted in the HTML forum, and got warned. ARGH. that was the last straw. I don’t have time waste on stupid forums like that, and I don’t have money to waste on people to write/draw/whatever for me. So, I assumed that GM-Tech would not join up with me ’cause of that, and kind of pushed them, asside, as if my problems on DP were their fault, and I believe that I offended them, and I am sorry that/if I did. Meanwhile, I asked the popular GM-Weekly to join up, and they were extatic, they are happy to share the IPB forum we have, and they are new too, so it won’t look like I am trying to steal all their recources.
